This will be a review for the meltin pout liquid lipstick & vitalist elixir foundation + spf 20 sunscreen. These are new products that just came out, I was lucky enough to try them and review them however I didn't pick the shades.
I have green eyes, dirty blonde hair & light olive skin with a touch of red.
Lets start with the Meltin Pout liquid lipstick first I will give some information on what it is: If you want color so hot, it's melted, this is the lipstick for you! New Melting Pout Liquid Lipsticks give you a high-impact, super rich color with a lightweight, satin finish. Melting Pout lipsticks give you Intensely rich color in a gel-based formula for a smooth finish.
I recieved this in the colour Gel-ful, it's a pink. Blush and rose type colour. I didn't like the shade for myself, its more of a barbie pink and when you have blonde hair it's pretty 80's. Mind you the shade would look lovely on some ladies. The application is somewhat difficult but it depends what you are used to. After the application it made your lips very full and gave that melted pout look. The downside is that it didn't last to long and you'd have to re-apply often. It is really hard to review this colour because it isn't intensely rich like some of their other colours. For me I am not a huge fan, I love my matte lip look and I think this for its price point is valuable. I love the packaging as well.
Now for the foundation, oh how I love this foundation. I recived this in the colour classic ivory. It matches my skin colour and I am happy it does, I'm already half way through this bottle. Anyways this is what it is: Finally a hydrating, vitamin-infused formula for beautiful, buildable coverage that glides on smoothly for a flawless look. A special antioxidant and vitamin complex plus SPF 20 work together to make your skin look healthy all day. Give your skin a luminous glow. Available in multiple shades from light to deep. I wasn't sure how I felt about this foundation because I am used to using Tarte's full coverage amazonian clay 12hr foundation which is creamy and very pigmented, I like it because it is good for oily and combination skin and breakouts which I am very prone to. I also tried Tartes water foundation and compairing that with the Covergirl I am amazed. First off the prices, Tarte at $51 and Covergirl at $14. I never did purchase the Tarte water foundation again because its costly and you have to use a lot of it, espicially for something that isnt full coverage. You had to reapply and it seemed to dry out my skin. To me if you are wearing makeup go all out or keep it light. The vitalist surprised me and I am so happy wearing it on a basic day you want a light look. I even catch myself comparing it with my expensive full coverage and I almost prefer it. Gives my skin a glow and it eccentuates my natural beauty. I also don't have any crazy breakouts, just the usual once a month as long as I wash my face every evening (even when I don't.) I am surprisingly pleased. I tried covergirl when I was a teen and it would oxidize so I was afraid to try it again but I am happy I got the sample.
I would for sure buy the foundation again but I will pass on the lipstick. #Gotitfree @Influenster @covergirl
